DDPAC believes that America's elected officials should be technology optimists, and that regardless of their political affiliation, they should stand for (1) technologists' right to build and deploy code freely; (2) Americans' right to own and control their own assets and data; and (3) a regulatory environment stable and predictable enough that Americans can confidently invest in, and build businesses around, emerging technology; and (4) a world where innovations in emerging code-based systems fundamentally improve American life.

The United States did not become the world's center of innovation by accident. America offers something rare: the freedom to innovate, backed by a legal and regulatory environment that gives innovators the confidence to invest, experiment, and grow. The technologies that change the world are ambitious: they expand what people can do, create, own, and decide for themselves. Sustaining American leadership means ensuring that our laws continue to provide the clarity and durability that make long-term innovation possible. Other nations are competing for that position. DDPAC exists to make sure we do not surrender it.
